The exhibit showcases 21 works of art, including Cady’s early watercolor Cady’s Store at Gardner Center, Mass. Anno Domini, 1885, and highlights how his Gardner roots shaped his entire career. The exhibit shows how Cady continually drew from his experiences in Gardner. It’s a unique combination of art and local history—an opportunity to see how place and memory shaped a nationally recognized illustrator’s vision.
