Step into a rich history of local athletics at this year’s Fall Exhibit, showcasing standout moments from Gardner High School, Narragansett, Oakmont, and Murdock sports teams. Explore stories of hall-of-famers, notable coaches, Olympians, and athletes who went on to play or coach at the professional, collegiate, and community levels.
The exhibit kicks off with an Opening Reception on Friday, September 13, from 1–4 PM, featuring special guests including Wally the WooSox Mascot, Mount Wachusett Community College’s new mascot, and—pending confirmation—the Gardner High School Wildcat. Local sports writers Jay Gearan, Mike Richard, Chris Daly, and Mark Bodanza will be on hand to share their insights and sign copies of their books. Light refreshments will be served.
A sports raffle, running September 1–November 1, offers prizes such as gift certificates for golfing, skiing, skating, and bowling, along with autographed memorabilia from athletes including Noah Gray, Oliver Drake, and John Awdycki. With 23 prizes in total, there’s something for every sports enthusiast.
The Fall Exhibit will be on display through December 19. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor decades of athletic achievement in our community.
